Friday the Thirteenth
Its 13th May 2005, a Friday.
And things dont seem to be good for this Friday.
I went out to catch some buses in the East. I had a nice well planned chain of buses that i have to take only for it to be shelved because 2 of the 3 in the chain are not on their permenent service today. darn.
and that's Friday the 13th for me in bus language. However, it got redeemed with a nice chiongster ride on service 36 from the airport. The driver flew the bus like.. an aeroplane? lol.. the speedometer said 63 but it felt like 72. Anyway, my phone died during that journey so whoever call or message me from then till the time i get home wont receive my response.
and speaking of chiongster drivers on 36 i think i shall write to sbst regarding the bunching of service 36 buses during peak hours. Its a more complicated matter than what you guys seem. only those in the line would understand what i'm going to say in the next paragraph. sorry about it.
From my findings it seems that the ~1710hrs departure from the airport will always catch up with the previous bus by the time it reaches orchard and will tag along with the front bus (SBS 2710 Y - Sanyo) all the way back from town to the airport. This is because the bus behind does split shift and it returns to the depot after that trip. It doesnt want pax to board the bus after the bus exits Marine Parade towards the airport and hence the bunching. Whether a frequency problem i'm not that sure as i believe that sbst have rather even frequencies during the peak hour.
and that chiongster driver happens to be a split shift driver, and he made the bus behind (SBS 2769 D - Cathay) packed. This sign is not good for business. I think i shall send the feedback first thing monday morning.
Got onto my lovely Super Olympian on 31 (SBS 9830 M) only to realise that there seems to be less watter in the water compartment of the engine. How the bus partially died goes like this:
1. Aircon stopped
2. Engine stopped running
3. Driver revs the bus LIKE CRAZY to accelerate the bus which never did due to 2.
4. Aircon comes back on Low
5. Engine getting restored
6. Aircon returns to High mode
It happened nearly 8 times throughout my journey. lucky thing i slept in the bus. Sleeping on the VSO is great thanks to its seats.
Anyway, returned home, did the usual thing.
Got news from Amber that posting results and timetable is out.
Went to SAS and check
Class: DBF/2A/05
Option: DBF B, FIN TRD
I got the option i wanted! :D
Heard from other peeps that the banking students are in 2A/01 while FT peeps like amber me and a couple of others are in 2A/05.
Well although we may be in different classes, we still can see each other during lectures as most of the lectures we have are the same except Ambrose's module. dunno why he's so special. Good news that we get to see Wang Pheck Hoon again. Hope she's my PTN :) Bad news abt it is that her tutorial room is T2151.

Well with regards to the posting there has not been any exception cases. and i kinda like my timetable in a sense that i get to see Suzanne Jung on my way to school every morning on the bus. ha ha ha... well not that la.. key point is that i can take the new bus to school for my 11am lecture on Friday. I tried it once last semester and was hoping for an 11am class this se. didnt know it'd come true. :)
and that wraps up the supposedly unlucky day. Well it was rather ok for me. How about you?
till then, ciao!
